Brannans of Misty Cove

Greetings
From my early, formative years I have always wanted to be a cartoonist. I have been
blessed in life to have had the opportunity to work as a commercial artist (today it's
called a graphic artist) for over thirty years. Before that, I earned a four year art
degree in college, and subsequently plyed my skills as an Illustrator while serving
in the U.S. Air Force.
My comic strip, "Brannans of Misty Cove" is based loosely on my own immediate
family, minus the uncle and family dog. Some of the various characters that popu-
late the town of Misty Cove are derived from people I remember from my early
years growing up, and some are not.
This strip was born out of my fascination of people of varying personalities. That, plus
a desire to draw them in a humorous; yet wholesome, entertaining way. I feel, person-
ally, we all need an escape, if only for a little while, from an uncertain, and some-
times frightening world. I hope you enjoy "Misty Cove" as much as I enjoy drawing
it for you. It's Family Friendly!
